day 2

when i got to the hospital this morning, he was great. sitting up, talking, eating... then that all changed quickly around 10:30, shortly after i went to work.
the dr. said once you start to feel nauseated, it's a slippery slope. they have been chasing it the rest of the day. so far they have him on a continuous zophran drip, plus the patch behind the ear, plus adovan, benadryl and something else, all for nausea. STILL sick. poor guy. after talking to the dr. today, she said that there is a delayed reaction and it will last up to 7 days after he stops treatment.
Randy said the thing that he hates the most is the shot in his tummy every 8 hours for... his... red blood cells... i think. my head is spinning. it was SOOO hard to kiss him on the head and go home alone. i waited until i got to my truck to cry, because the poor nurses are already having a hard time with this whole situation. THIS SUCKS YOU GUYS!!!

Kristyn, this must be so hard. I remember when my brother had chemo, and when I stayed with my friend Heide sometimes when she was going through chemo last year....you just want to make them feel better, and there's not much you can do. But just know that being there, and wiping their brow (corny as that sounds) and saying sweet things really does help. You are an awesome wife.

It is okay to cry...we all would. Just remember God's glory. Just love him and your children. Again it is okay to cry, this sucks, it's painful, and God will be glorified and Randy will be victorious! Hang in there.

If anyone can handle this, it's you Kristyn. We all know Randy is a warrior through all this. Have faith, your friends are behind you, beside you and with you all the way. Cassie and I are here at your service, call on us for anything!

Oh Kristyn! I am crying with you and praying the entire time. God has given Randy the strength he needs to get through this and He has given you that strength as well. Cry it out, He sees those tears and is shedding them with you. I love you Kristyn!

I know the hardest part is leaving them behind. I hated to leave when Tommy was sick. Just remember that you need your strength and your kids need you too! He is in great hands and he has sooo many people praying for him. I hope you feel it!! We love you guys and you are continually in our prayers!

You don't know me, but I am hardcore praying for your family. I am so glad you are documenting all your feelings down, it helps me know how to pray.

Seriously, you are loved.... even by strangers.
